We're ready to help take your ideas and turn them into your dream kitchen. Our goal is to make creating your new kitchen as easy and stress-free as possible. In the planning phase of the process, we can help with as much or as little as you need.
Through our free IKEA kitchen planning service, you meet with a kitchen expert (in-store or online) to create a new, custom plan. You’ll receive a 3D design, product lists and add-on service estimates.
We also offer an in-home kitchen planning service for a fee. Our kitchen experts will visit your home to take precise measurements, discuss your needs, and help you design the perfect kitchen layout. Whether you choose our free planning service or the in-home option, we're here to support you every step of the way.

Meet with a kitchen expert at your local IKEA store or online via a screen-sharing tool for a 30-minute consultation to help you understand our IKEA kitchen offer, general pricing, and answer any questions about the process and services.
Kitchen planning
Free, available online or at an IKEA location
Work with a kitchen expert at your local IKEA store or online via a screen-sharing tool to create your dream kitchen. This appointment can last up to 90 minutes with further 30-minute follow-up sessions available for revisions. IKEA will contact you 24-48 hours before the appointment to confirm the date/time and verify measurements.
After the appointment, you'll get a 3D kitchen design, a product list with a kitchen quote and price estimates for add-on services like delivery and installation.
In-home kitchen planning
$199, in the comfort of your home
Dreaming of a new kitchen but don’t have the time to plan yourself? Our new in-home planning service has you covered! IKEA kitchen experts will come to your home, measure and assess your space, and handle all the planning. The initial appointment may last up to four hours and requires a follow-up session (in-store or online) to finalize your design and complete your purchase. Best of all, the $199 fee is applied toward your qualifying Kitchen Installation service.

Before a kitchen planning meeting

- Get an overview of the process. Check out 5 steps to buying a kitchen to better understand what’s involved in planning a new kitchen from measuring to installing.
- Book an appointment and arrange a one-on-one planning meeting.
- Measure your kitchen space and document the required specifications. It’s critical this step is done correctly at the start to avoid costly surprises later. If you're unsure, we offer a kitchen measurement service.
During and after a kitchen planning meeting
- Have your kitchen measurements, specifications, dream/frustration lists and favorite inspirational ideas to your planning meeting.
- Our kitchen expert will help tackle everything from finding a door/cabinet front you like to designing a layout that meets your needs and wants. You’ll get a 3D design, a product list, a kitchen quote and estimates for additional services that can make life even easier (like delivery and installation).
